The Three
Key Processes Which Define ERA™
ERA™ consists of three key processes which
collectively address the human, administrative
and organizational, and technical components of
an enterprise. These processes include:
Enterprise Architecting
Process – whereby administrative
and organizational systems are integrated with
technical systems to achieve structure and balance
Organizational Design
Process – whereby administrative
and organizational systems are integrated with
human systems design and development to facilitate
the choice of the appropriate organizational structural
and governance
Systems Engineering
Process – whereby the development
of all technical systems is enabled by a logical
sequence of steps toward deriving good requirements
and transforming them into solutions.
This figure illustrates the concept at a high
level. Design and analysis begins at the enterprise
level and successfully works to lower levels including
the strategic business units (SBUs) down to the
cell or workshop levels.
